Teens arrested after bogus music video led to alleged Arnaudville armed robbery
ARNAUDVILLE, La. (KLFY) -- Two teenagers were arrested after allegedly posing as music video producers to lure a victim to a spot where they were then beaten and robbed, authorities said.
Kentrell James Guillory, 18, of Arnaudville and Condrick Lewis, Jr., 18, of Bunkie, are each charged with armed robbery, illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities and aggravated battery.
The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday to a report of an armed robbery on Division Road in Arnaudville. The complainant said he was lured into the area on the pretense of making a music video for which he would be paid, according to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.
"Once at the address, the victim was using one of the suspect’s phones to record the video and upon its conclusion the scene turned into a severe beating and armed robbery," Guidroz said. "The victim was able to get to a relative’s home and contact law enforcement."
Guillory and Lewis are being held in the St. Landry Parish jail. Bond details were not released.
