A Fifth Harmony Reunion Without Camila Cabello?
If we could take the pulse of the situation right now, would it feel just like a sledgehammer? Fifth Harmony is reportedly in talks to get back together and go on tour in 2026 … without Camila Cabello, who left to focus on her solo career in 2016. There’s been no official confirmation or denial of The Hollywood Reporter’s May 28 report yet, but this isn’t the first time that there’s been rumors of an upcoming reunion. The members themselves have gotten Harmonizers’ hopes up. Below, a timeline of everything Cabello, Ally Brooke, Normani, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui have said about harmonizing together again.
December 19, 2016: Brooke, Normani, Jane, and Jauregui “have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony,” according to a statement shared on the group’s social media. The statement notes that the “four strong, committed women” who are left will continue with both the group and their solo careers. As for Cabello? “We wish her well.”
In her own statement, Cabello contests this characterization of her departure, tweeting that she is “shocked” by the announcement and “did not intend to end things with fifth harmony this way.” However, she also wishes her former members “nothing but the best.”
August 27, 2017: Fifth Harmony takes the stage at the VMAs as a quintet, then a stand-in fifth member falls backward and disappears. Two days later, the girls explain on GMA that this was meant to be a symbolic answer to people who ask if they are going to add someone else to the group. “We wanted to show the world in an artistic way that ‘Hey, the four of us are Fifth Harmony,” Brooke says. (In January 2018, Cabello admits to the New York Times that the stunt “definitely hurt my feelings.”)
March 29, 2018: Fifth Harmony goes on an indefinite hiatus, explaining that the quartet realized that they need to take time away from the group to “pursue solo endeavors” in order to “stay authentic to ourselves and to you.”

October 10, 2018: When asked if there’s any chance that Fifth Harmony will reunite and make music together again, Brooke tells Entertainment Tonight, “You never know what can happen … I would say we’re all probably leaving the door open.”
October 31, 2018: Jane tells Entertainment Tonight that “it would be cool” to collaborate with her Fifth Harmony members. “I’m like, ‘Feature me. I know you want me on your records, girls!’” she says, adding that she and Jauregui “talk about it all the time.”
April 4, 2019: Footage circulates on social media that appears to show Jauregui and Jane singing “Work From Home” at karaoke in Indonesia.
April 8, 2019: Cabello dances to “Worth It” on her Instagram Story.
August 6, 2019: The remaining members of Fifth Harmony are not in touch with Cabello, according to Cabello herself. She tells Variety that the lack of contact is “not because there’s any animosity left” but rather because their lives have “drifted” in different directions. “But if I saw any of them at an awards show, I would say hi and it would be totally cool,” she insists. “It feels like there’s been a reset just because of the amount of time that’s passed.”
February 28, 2020: Normani reflects on the racist bullying she faced from some Fifth Harmony fans, as well as resurfaced racist posts and messages that Cabello apologized for in December 2019. “It took days for her to acknowledge what I was dealing with online and then years for her to take responsibility for the offensive tweets that recently resurfaced,” Normani says. “Whether or not it was her intention, this made me feel like I was second to the relationship that she had with her fans.”
May 12, 2021: In the first episode of her podcast, Brooke admits that she “didn’t enjoy” her time in Fifth Harmony, alleging that behind the scenes, there was “so much toxicity, so much abuse of power, so much mental abuse, verbal abuse.” She describes “inappropriateness” in the way the label talked to the members, stating that she was made to feel “uncomfortable” and “inferior.” She also says she and her bandmates had to be “competitive” and “fight” for the good parts of our song.
April 8, 2022: Cabello tells Reuters that she now has limited but positive contact with her ex-bandmates. “We have been like supportive of each other through like DMs and stuff,” she says, adding that she’s “in a really good place” with them.
October 3, 2023: Brooke tells E! News that she “100 percent” sees herself reuniting with her former bandmates. “We may be working on something,” she says, nodding when asked if the group will be getting back together “sooner than we think.”
October 4, 2023: Brooke tries to manage Harmonizer expectations by clarifying that a musical comeback hasn’t actually been scheduled yet, tweeting, “I’m thrilled to see there’s a lot of interest surrounding Fifth Harmony. Reunion has many meanings and while there’s no official band reunion happening at the moment, some beautiful friendships and relationships are slowly reuniting in a healing and empowering way.”
November 28, 2023: In an interview with Billboard, Brooke says she hasn’t seen her Fifth Harmony bandmates in a while, and that she and Jane recently saw each other for the first time in five years at a party. As for the other members, she hints, “I’m trying to reunite with them, so I think some sort of reunion may happen.”
March 1, 2024: “Page Six” reports that Fifth Harmony is in talks to reunite — and that Cabello has been part of these early conversations. This comes after the group’s song “All in My Head (Flex)” went viral on TikTok. However, Rolling Stone shuts this possibility down on the same day, citing multiple sources who say that no such reunion is in the works.
March 6, 2024: Cabello explains on the Call Her Daddy podcast that her Fifth Harmony exit happened after she “started distancing” herself from the “group vision,” which the other members were “still really passionate” about. “I was just like, I’m not happy here anymore, it doesn’t feel aligned,” Cabello recalls, though she adds that she can now look back and “really focus on and remember the really joyful times.” On the same day, Entertainment Tonight asks Brooke and Jane about the rumors of a reunion at the Billboard Women in Music Awards. “We’ll really see what happens,” replies Brooke. “We’re just here.” Jane similarly avoids the question to focus on their presence at the ceremony, saying, “We’re just here to have fun.”
June 10, 2024: Normani is not aware of any plans for a Fifth Harmony return, she tells Billboard. But all hope is not lost — she leaves the door open by saying that she can “definitely see that being a possibility in the future” and that it “would be a special moment for sure.”
September 28, 2024: Cabello includes a friendly photo of herself and Normani in an Instagram post chronicling her time at Paris Fashion Week.
November 4, 2024: “First off, bitch, mind your business,” Brooke lip-syncs in a TikTok where the text asks when Fifth Harmony is reuniting.
November 9, 2024: Jauregui confirms to People that she still has “a lot of love” for Fifth Harmony, adding, “The four of us talk here and there.” When asked if the group will put out new music, she says, “Maybe in the future at some point, but not right now. I’m definitely focused on myself currently.”
May 28, 2025: Citing multiple sources familiar with the matter, The Hollywood Reporter reports that Fifth Harmony is in talks to reunite without Cabello in 2026. Reportedly, they are also planning to go on a tour that will be filmed for a documentary about their return. Brooke’s husband, Will Bracey — whom she met while he was working as a tour manager for Fifth Harmony, and is now the chief operating officer of Justin Bieber’s family office — is said to be in the running to manage the reunited group.
