Baseball5 African Championship qualification process due to be completed May 30-June 1
WBSC Africa will complete the qualification process for the Baseball5 African Championship from May 30 to June 1. The first and second-place finishers in the Western and Southern Regions will compete with world No. 15 Kenya and No. 30 Uganda, the first and second-place teams of the Eastern Region Qualifier.
The Ivory Coast will host the Western Region tournament and face No. 31 Burkina Faso, No. 34 Cape Verde, Senegal, No. 50 Togo and No. 5 Tunisia.
No. 48 Lesotho will host the Southern Region qualifier and compete with No. 51 Botswana, No. 8 South Africa, No. 21 Zambia and No. 40 Zimbabwe.
The Baseball5 African Championship is scheduled for November. WBSC Africa will announce the host federation later.
The African Championship is a WBSC Baseball5 World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournament.
Since the WBSC Executive Board expanded the Baseball5 World Cup and the Youth Baseball5 World Cup from 12 to 16 teams, the continent quota is as follows:
- Africa: 2 Teams
- Americas: 4 Teams
- Asia: 3 Teams
- Europe: 3 Teams
- Oceania: 1 Team
- Host: 1 Team
- WBSC: 2 Wild Cards
