Tottenham dates for Champions League draw and European fixtures revealed
Tottenham Hotspur are set to embark on a Champions League adventure again next season after their historic Europa League success. Here is all that you need to know to mark your calendar for the tournament next season.
After a two-year absence, Spurs are back in Europe’s premier club tournament next season and the Lilywhites already know that they will have some blockbuster fixtures.
With Pot 1 for the draw being finalised, Tottenham are guaranteed to play at least two giants in the Champions League league phase, with the North Londoners being one of 29 teams who have sealed progression to the competition. Seven more spots are up for grabs in the qualifiers.
Spurs are one of six English teams to make it to the league phase, but unlike the old format, no rule prevents teams from the same country from facing each other in the first round of the competition.
All the dates for Tottenham’s 2025/26 Champions League run
The draw for the league phase of the Champions League will take place on Thursday, August 18, and that is when Tottenham Hotspur will know the identities of all eight opponents.
The teams that finish in the top eight at the end of the league phase make it directly into the round of 16, while those who finish in places nine to 16 have to play an additional knockout round.

Which pot could Spurs find themselves in?
Tottenham Hotspur already know a lot about the Champions League pots ahead of the 2025/26 season, but it still remains to be seen where the Lilywhites themselves will be placed.
Pot 1 consists of Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, PSG, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, and Barcelona.
Pot 2 currently consists of Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen, Atletico Madrid, Atalanta, Villarreal, Juventus and Eintracht Frankfurt, with Benfica, Club Brugge, Rangers and Shakhtar Donetsk potentially joining these teams if they qualify for the competition.
Tottenham are currently in line to go into Pot 3 for the Champions League draw but they will move up to Pot 2 if one or both Benfica or Club Brugge fail to make it to the league phase.
