FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Tuesday morning!
We're already starting off with a few spotty showers. Rain chances pick up as we head through the course of today. Thankfully, this will be the final day of solid rain from the lingering system in the area.
Rain chances will pick up as we head into the late morning and afternoon. We're looking at pretty widespread coverage of some light to moderate showers. Towards the evening, rain chances begin to taper off, but we could see some isolated storms begin to pop up.
Showers taper off going into tonight as we start a very gradual clearing pattern. The upper level low gets picked up by the jet stream and moved out of the area. One or two spotty showers will remain for Wednesday and into Thursday morning.
Some wiggle in the jet stream will influence temperatures for the midweek. We climb to the lower 70s for Wednesday, but fall back to the lower 60s for Thursday. A warmup begins to take steady hold of us going into the weekend.
Temperatures are finally back in the 70s - near normal - by Friday with skies starting to look a little sunnier. The weekend is shaping up to look a lot better than the last one. We're expecting sunnier skies with temperatures still warming through the 70s. We're a few degrees shy of 80 for next Monday with partly cloudy skies.
