Jesy Nelson admits ‘I can’t decide what to do’ in update from hospital after revealing high risk twin pregnancy
JESY Nelson has asked her fans for help as she awaits the birth of her twins in hospital.
The former Little Mix star is currently expecting her first children with boyfriend Zion Foster, and is being looked after by doctors due to the high risk pregnancy.
As she patiently waits, she’s taken to TikTok to ask for advice regarding her hair, admitting she was excited to dye her hair again once the babies are born.
Speaking in her pyjamas in her hospital bed, Jesy zoomed in on her hairline and joked in an American accent: “Ewwww get your grays out for the lads!”
“Second of all, I feel like I’ve been this colour for quite a while now, and I don’t really feel like it’s ginger anymore, I feel like it’s washed out auburn.”
“Zion wants me to go a browny-blonde, and I just don’t know, I don’t know what suits me, so I want your advice.
“What hair colour do you actually love on me best? Because I can’t decide!”
But while Jedward declared that red suits her, and others debated the options, some fans have warned her against dying her hair while pregnant or a new mum.
“Wait until the babies are born and dye your hair after, I’ve heard it’s not good to dye your hair while pregnant could be wrong (mom of two under three) so don’t come for me but I love you,” wrote one.
“Bronde will help with the greys,” said another, before noting: “A lot of your hair will fall out after birth so you want low maintenance. Long blonde bob.”
“With the babies on the way, you should probably get something low maintenance,” asserted another. “Blonde did look good on you and ginger too. Maybe a mix of them?”
“Get a caramel balayage with a root stretch, that way it’s low maintenance, greys are gone, colour is banding and you’ll feel fire!” urged a fourth.
“Don’t get too much done! I had so much postpartum hair loss I’m now always too scared to wash it,” warned a fifth.
“Dye it as close to its natural colour so much easier to maintain after the twins but that’s completely up to you as it’s your hair and you look beautiful no matter what colour you go or how you look,” said a sixth.
“Not much bleaching as normally around the three month mark after you can lose hair,” warned another fan. “Choose something healthy, maybe a few highlights through your parting and a nice healthy semi to gloss and add tone.”
Jesy is currently in hospital due to her high risk pregnancy, having been diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS).
TTTS is a rare but serious condition in which blood flows unevenly between identical twins sharing a placenta – putting both babies at risk.
The diagnosis took Jesy and Zion by surprise and they revealed they had no idea what TTTS was before the diagnosis.
Jesy has already had a successful operation, though didn’t specify the type of procedure, and has been keeping herself busy with a self-care and beauty regime.
Meanwhile Zion ran the London marathon with less than five weeks training, in order to raise money for the charity Twins Trust in honour of their little ones.
As he completed the 26.2mile mission, Jesy watched from her room and declared in a sweet post: “I honestly didn’t think I could love you any more than I already do @zionfoster but you have made me and our babies the proudest!!!!
“You had under 4 weeks to train for the London Marathon and you have worked your absolute bum off to be able to cross that finish line today whilst raising money for an amazing cause @twinstrust and for our babies.”
She added: “Words will never be enough to let you know how proud I am of you.
“The most amazing human and daddy — we love you baby. You smashed the London Marathon!!!!”
