Look Who’s Making a Long Story Short on Netflix
When Raphael Bob-Waksberg made the very first Netflix original animated series with Bojack Horseman back in 2014, he had Will Arnett playing a horse, Amy Sedaris voicing a bright pink cat, and Paul F. Tompkins as TV’s most literal golden retriever boyfriend. Now, over ten years later, he’s assembled an A-list cast to play the wildest animals of all: a human family. Out on August 22, Long Story Short is a time-hopping comedy about the Schwooper siblings, played “from childhood to adulthood and back again, chronicling their triumphs, disappointments, joys, and compromises.” Playing these intrepid Schwoopers is a cast that would probably make up the greatest Seder guest list in history: Lisa Edelstein, Paul Reiser, Ben Feldman, Abbi Jacobson, Max Greenfield, Angelique Cabral, Nicole Byer, and recurring guests Dave Franco and Michaela Dietz. Lisa Hanawalt, who collabed with Bob-Waksberg on Bojack and Tuca and Bertie, returns as supervising producer. Schwoop, there it is!
