Former LSU receiver Kyren Lacy reportedly dead
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First News) — Former LSU standout wide receiver Kyren Lacy was found dead Saturday night in Houston, according to ESPN.
Lacy, 24, who had been projected as a potential pick in this year’s NFL Draft, was previously involved in a December car crash that left an elderly man dead. The incident had cast uncertainty over his future in football and led to ongoing legal scrutiny.
The Thibodeaux native played at LSU from 2022-2024 after spending a season with the Ragin' Cajuns. His final season was his best, catching 58 passes for 866 yards and nine touchdowns.
The cause of death has not been officially confirmed. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
