Topeka woman fights back against drug addiction in the community
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Organizations in Topeka got together to educate the community about the dangers of drug abuse on Saturday.
TK Fights Fentanyl hosted the community drug awareness event on April 12. Topeka residents came out to learn about mental health and drug awareness.
TK Fights Fentanyl urges people that are struggling to reach out to them for help.
"A supported community is a strong community and a thriving community," said TK Fights Fentanyl Founder, Amber Saale-Burger. "So, if we can put everyone in a supportive bubble, then the better the community will be."
Saale-Burger says drug addiction is an illness and it's important to educate yourself because it could happen to anyone. To learn more about TK Fights Fentanyl, click here.
