Much cooler for the start of March with more seasonable temperatures
What We’re Tracking
- Much cooler Saturday
- Warming back up through Tuesday
- Active pattern next week
After our cold front moved through yesterday, we're starting to feel the affects this morning as winds remained light. Temperatures are around freezing in the upper 20s and lower 30s.
We'll see plenty of sunshine today with a few passing clouds at times for a chilly start to March. Highs will be closer to average as we struggle into the upper 40s later this afternoon. Winds won't be as strong but from the North at 10-15 mph.
Our winds will shift to the southeast tonight, but another cold start early Sunday. With winds picking up throughout the daytime tomorrow, we look to warm back to the upper 50s to near 60°. There is a chance of a few showers in the later Sunday into Monday, we might even hear a few rumbles of thunder. But, models have started to push this first rain chance a bit further southward.
Most of the day Monday will remain dry as temperatures continue to warm through Tuesday back into the middle 60s. Behind that is another chance of rain for Tuesday. This one will bring more widespread showers through the day on Tuesday ahead of a front.
Temperatures will once again fall back down for Wednesday, to more seasonable levels. Average highs for this time of year is lower 50s. An active week ahead with fluctuating temperatures and it's even possible we see a few snowflakes later on in the week.
