Jamie winner as Bay go four points clear
JAMIE CUMMING scored the only goal of the game as Colwyn Bay won 1-0 away to Ruthin Town at Bala to go four points clear at the top of the JD Cymru North table.
Title rivals Airbus UK were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Guilsfield on what could prove a massive weekend in the title chase.
Bay’s match-winning goal came after 24 minutes with Jamie Cumming’s header from a great cross by Joe Williams.
Bay had other chances in the first half, but Cumming had a header cleared off the line, Dan Atkins was denied by a fine save from Ruthin keeper Dan Goldston and nobody could get on the end of a good cross from Ethan Roberts.
In the second half Goldston made another good saves from Ethan Roberts and Lloyd Marsh-Hughes, with Ruthin also clearing off the line and the Bay were convinced the ball had crossed the line in added time, but the referee didn’t give it.
