Premier League club will do ‘everything’ to sign Harry Kane this summer, but it’s not Tottenham
One of Tottenham’s Premier League rivals are determined to bring Harry Kane back to England in the summer, with the club having identified the Spurs legend as their top summer target.
Harry Kane is continuing to bang in goals at a ridiculous rate at the Allianz Arena, with the striker looking set to fire Bayern to the Bundesliga title, which would be the first major trophy of his career.
Kane has a £54m release clause in his contract at the Allianz Arena, but reports from Germany indicate that Bayern are relaxed about the situation as they do not expect their number nine to push for a move this summer.
However, that has not stopped speculation linking Kane with a move back to the Premier League, with some sources suggesting over recent weeks that Spurs have not ruled out making an offer to re-sign Harry Kane in the summer.
Man United are determined to sign Harry Kane
Fichajes have now claimed that Man Utd are prioritising singing a centre-forward in the summer and have set their sights on Kane.
The report says that the club’s part-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, wants to make a statement signing who can have an instant impact on the side, with the Bayern man’s name being at the top of his wishlist.
It is explained that United have explored a move for Kane in the past and view this summer as the ideal opportunity to sign him, given his £54m clause.
While Paris Saint-Germain are also circling over the England captain, it asserted that the Red Devils ‘will do everything they can’ to take the star striker to Old Trafford.
Why would Kane consider a move to Man Utd?
It is possible that Kane might be tempted by a return to the Premier League, although it appears unlikely that he would leave Bayern so soon.
However, even if he decides to leave Bavaria this summer, there is no reason for him to consider moving to Man Utd.
A return to Tottenham would be a fairytale transfer which would add to his legacy at the club, while a move to a club like Man City or Liverpool may help him add Premier League titles to his CV.
A move to United will offer neither, with Ruben Amorim’s side currently a long way away from competing with the best sides in the Premier League.
