Sick ‘pay for slay’ scheme lets terrorists become MILLIONAIRES as they’re rewarded for twisted crimes after being freed

EVIL terrorists are being turned into millionaires overnight in a vile scheme dubbed “pay for slay”.

Fresh from being released from jail, murderers are being given huge sums of cash out of a £220million pot earmarked for them each year.

It comes as thousands of Palestinian prisoners are being let out of Israeli jails early amid a fragile ceasefire deal with Hamas.

That includes a number of high-profile terrorists responsible for the slaughter of innocents.

One of the most notorious is Ahmed Barghouti who was behind the killing of 12 Israelis in several suicide bombings.

He will be handed 1.2million shekels by the Palestinian Authority (PA) as part of their depraved reward scheme, referred to as “pay for slay”.

Equal to around £265,000, the amount is enough to buy a luxury property and live as a millionaire for the rest of his life.

Similarly large payouts await wicked beasts Mansour Shreim, who killed nine Israeli teens in 2002, and Ahmed Abu Khader, who trained others to carry out suicide missions.

Another is Raad Saadi, who murdered multiple Israeli soldiers and will receive the equivalent of more than £450,000,

Some cowardly terrorists being deported will be handed even larger cash sums.

Monster Muhammed Tus, who is being exiled to Egypt, is expected to receive £500,000 – which is equal to over 32 million Egyptian pounds.

Before being released in January, he was serving life sentences for killing five Israelis after helping to carry out bus bomb attacks in the early 1980s.

Barghouti was previously a part of Fatah’s Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and commentators believe there is a high chance he will eventually overtake the top job at PA from current leader Mahmoud Abbas.

As part of PA’s twisted programme – also branded the “Martyr’s Fund” – beasts will also have tax-free shopping for high-end cars and other luxury goods at their fingertips.

On top of their excessive lump sums, each terrorist will receive a special grant of around £20,000 and a lifetime paid salary.

In total, the amount awaiting convicted terrorists released under the hostage deal will receive a whopping £11.25 million between them.

Itamar Marcus, head of Palestinian Media Watch told the Sun: “The Palestinian Authority pays salaries to the terrorists while they are in Israeli prisons.

“Various others will receive lesser amounts.

“It is not to support their families – it is actually to reward them for what they did.

“The money is accumulated in the private account of the given terrorist, that is opened for him immediately after he enters a prison.”

The PA allocates around £220 million a year to pay monthly stipends to terrorists in Israeli prisons.

They cough up amounts ranging from £320 to £2,700 per month, depending on the sentence.

Those handed the longest sentences are earmarked the highest amounts.

Callous terrorists can collect their money just weeks after leaving prison.

In stark comparison, the amount a regular Palestinian who has not been convicted of a crime receives £50 to £135 a month if in need of welfare.

Marcus added: “The whole system is designed to reinforce terrorism.

“The PA wants terror, they see their terrorists as heroes.”

In February, PA leader Mahmoud Abbas signed a decree overseen by Donald Trump, vowing to end the “pay for slay” scheme, which has not yet come into effect.

Prisoner release delayed

ISRAEL last week delayed the release of more than 600 Palestinian prisoners.

Netanyahu vowed to not release them as agreed until Hamas stopped its “humiliating” hostage handover ceremonies.

Israel was due to release more than 600 Palestinian prisoners last Sunday in exchange for the return for six living and four dead hostages who had been freed.

Hamas this week said the decision put the entire agreement in “grave danger”.

The deal’s first phase and a temporary six-week truce was due to expire on Saturday.

Hamas and Israel this week reached an agreement for the release of four hostages’ bodies and 602 Palestinian security prisoners.

Israel has raged at how Hamas has handed over hostages, with them being led onto stages by gun-toting terrorists.

The terror group also shared a video of two hostages watching a release ceremony from a car before being taken back into captivity.

Hamas also received huge backlash after returning the bodies of Shiri Bibas and her two young sons Ariel and Kfir in locked coffins.

It emerged that Hamas had handed over the remains of a Palestinian woman rather than those of Shiri.

Her body was later transferred back to Israel, with Hamas claiming there had been a “mistake”.

The signing outlines that Palestinian convicts will in the future receive the same amount as those not serving sentences.

While the move was widely hailed a victory, Marcus slammed it as a mockery.

He added: “They moved the funds to another bank account, the same that pays welfare benefits, because they need the US money.

“But several PA sources say the salaries to the terrorists will remain very high, identical to what they were.

“We will only know this in March, once the payments are made.”

The £11.25 million covers pay-outs to only terrorists released as part of Israel’s ongoing hostage deal with terror group Hamas.

The three-stage deal halted more than a year of fighting triggered by Hamas’ horror October 7 attack in 2023 which saw more than 1,200 people killed and 251 hostages taken.

It requires Hamas to release all hostages, and Israel to free thousands of Palestinian prisoners in return.

Hamas has so far released 30 hostages – 20 Israeli civilians, five soldiers, and five Thai nationals – and the bodies of four Israeli captives.
