‘Mind blown’ people say as woman shares ‘ultimate life hack’ that makes drying sheets on an airer so much easier
BEDSHEETS can be a real nuisance when you’re tackling the laundry – especially when it’s too wet and miserable to hang them outside.
They often take up the entire clothes horse or get messily draped somewhere around the house in a desperate bid to get them to dry.
And it can quickly become expensive to keep running the tumble dryer.
Which is apparently the most costly household appliance.
One TikTok user has blown people away with her genius hack – which is so simple yet effective it’s left viewers “mind blown.”
And better yet – it won’t cost you a penny.
Posting to her account, @2.elmo.4.u, the laundry pro shared a clever space-saving drying technique.
Her video has racked up an impressive 9.9 million views so far, with people hurrying to give it a go themselves.
In her clip she can be seen pointing at her airer, which she’s using to dry both her clothes and bedsheets.
Instead of draping her sheet on the top of the dryer, she’s cleverly stretched it underneath.
Speaking in German, she tells viewers: “When you need to stretch bed sheets, just stretch them across here.”
Attaching one end of the sheet to either end of the dryer, she’s left the bars on top free for drying her other items.
She goes on to say: “Then you can still hang your stuff to dry here.”
She neatly stacks her freshly washed shirts and socks on the bars above the bedsheet, with ample room for them to air out.
The clever hack effectively doubled the amount of space she had on her clothes horse and meant she didn’t have to sacrifice the whole thing to her bedding.
