Vermilion Parish Sheriff looking for man missing from treatment center
ABBEVILLE, La. (KLFY) -- Authorities are attempting to locate a man missing from an addiction treatment center in Abbeville.
Jacob P. Simon, 38, was taken by court order to Wood Lake Recovery Center in Abbeville on Monday.
The Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office was informed at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday that Simon left the facility the previous night. It is unknown if Simon was picked up or left on foot. His direction of travel is also unknown.
Simon is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 150 lbs.
The court order states that if he fails to complete the treatment program, he is to be returned to the custody of the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office, officials said.
