Ohio man arrested on charges of child sexual abuse material, drug trafficking
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio (WCMH) -- A 66-year-old Ohio man was arrested this week and charged with pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor and trafficking drugs.
According to the Mount Vernon Police Department (MVP), 66-year-old Aaron Eldridge of Mount Vernon was arrested on Wednesday after police executed a search warrant regarding the possession of child sexual abuse material.
Police say that during the search of Eldridge's residence, detectives found evidence of child sexual abuse material but also found a handful of other drugs. In a media release from MVP, they say over 100 grams of cocaine, LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, prescription pills, and marijuana were among those found in Eldrige's possession.
The release says detectives also seized a firearm and over $10,000 in cash.
Eldrigde was arrested without incident and transported to the Knox County jail. He is charged in the Knox County Municipal Court with pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor as well as aggravated trafficking in drugs.
Eldridge will appear in court on March 10 for a preliminary hearing.
