Trinity Alliance sets Albany mass food distributions
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Trinity Alliance of the Capital Region has set several dates throughout the year for mass food distributions in Albany. Officials with the nonprofit said the need for local food distributions continues to grow each year.
The distributions start at 8 a.m. and end when the food runs out. The only thing people need to do to receive food from a distribution is show up with bags or a cart. There are no income or residency restrictions.
Anyone who attends should expect to wait in line, which can get long. Once they have signed in, people can go from station to station and choose which foods they want.
Officials with the nonprofit said many clients of their food distributions and food pantry are employed, but may fall a paycheck short of meeting their families needs for food. In 2024, the distributions served 8,372 people.
“These Mass Food Distributions are essential to filling those gaps, as well as the needs of others combating food insecurity,” officials said.
Below are the dates and locations of the Albany mass food distributions that are scheduled through October. Anyone with questions can call Trinity Alliance of the Capital Region at (518) 449-5155.
