Heartbroken Katie Price reveals she’s suffered a miscarriage at 46 after unexpectedly falling pregnant
KATIE Price has had a miscarriage at the age of 46, the heartbroken star has revealed.
The model fell pregnant over Christmas but scans earlier this month revealed she had lost the baby.
The mum-of-five has now teamed-up with a charity called Tommy’s, the UK’s leading pregnancy and miscarriage organisation, to raise awareness for grieving mums.
A source said: “Kate and JJ are heartbroken – it’s been an incredibly hard past few weeks, with emotions ranging from utter joy to complete devastation.”
Katie, who turns 47 in May, has already had three prior miscarriages plus an ectopic pregnancy.
Her eldest son Harvey, 22, has a complex list of special needs and two of her pregnancies were fraught with difficulties.
Katie went on to have four more children – Junior and Princess with ex-husband Peter Andre and her two youngest kids, Jett and Bunny with her third former husband Kieran Hayler.
She was most recently seen with her ex Carl Woods in a Channel 4 documentary following their IVF journey.
Filmed in 2023, Katie Price: Making Babies showed the moment Katie found out the fertility treatment hadn’t worked.
Their relationship came to an end during the series, with Carl admitting: “It was the hardest decision of my life to make, like to tap out on it. She will just think that I’m out of order. ‘He’s left me when we were having a child’.
“It’s not about that at all. What it is about, it is about having a stability in my life. Kids need a stable home, and there’s no sign of it changing. I don’t have the fight left in me. I’ve fought for three years.”
Katie is now loved up with her current beau JJ Slater, 31, who shot to fame on E4‘s Married At First Sight.
What are symptoms of early miscarriage?
The most clear sign a woman is having a miscarriage is bleeding, varying from light spotting to heavy blood clots.
But bear in mind, some bleeding during the first three months of pregnancy is normal and does not necessarily mean a miscarriage – contact the maternity team or GP as soon as possible.
Other symptoms of a miscarriage include:
- cramping and pain in your lower tummy
- a discharge of fluid from your vagina
- a discharge of tissue from your vagina
- no longer experiencing the symptoms of pregnancy, such as feeling sick and breast tenderness
She previously revealed in her new book This Is Me, that she had visited a fertility clinic in America before she met JJ and had picked a sperm donor.
However, she has since said she hopes of having children with the reality star – after he convinced her family he’s the one.
Katie said: “I will have more kids. There will be kids [with JJ].”
