IF you find yourself constantly on the hunt for the perfect smart-but-comfy trousers, you’re not alone.
It can sometimes seem like an impossible task, but as always M&S has got our back.
The major British retailer’s ‘bloat-friendly’ stretch trousers have caused a frenzy online, and luckily they’ve got stock available online.
The Jersey Wide Leg Trousers With Stretch come in four colours: Black, Charcoal, Dark Navy and Dark Khaki.
And if you want to buy one of every colour, you don’t need to feel guilty – they’re just £17.50
M&S says: “Everyone needs a pair of easy-to-wear trousers, and this jersey style ticks all the boxes.
“Pull-on style with a roomy wide leg.
“Carefully crafted with an elasticated high waist and a hint of stretch for ultimate comfort.”
The trousers are part of the M&S collection, which boasts easy-to-wear wardrobe staples that combine classic and contemporary styles.
And the trousers have sent shoppers into a frenzy online, who say they are perfect as affordable work wear.
TikTokker @nikkiryanslife posted a video, showing off her haul: “Now because you all went crazy for the black version of these trousers that I shared the other day, I’m going to show you some different colours that I picked up.
“They are the comfiest, stretchiest, bloat-friendly, but-still-smart trousers I have ever found.
“And they’re only £17.50”
Nikki had previously posted a video of the trousers in black, and had been met with such positive reception from her followers that she had gone back to M&S to pick up the trousers in khaki and charcoal.
In the caption of the latest video, she had written: “Never had so many views, comments and messages about an item of clothing!”
Her followers were in awe and flooded the comment section with praise.
One commented: “Oh, it’s exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for helping an IBS girlie be comfy”
The new range of colours includes black, charcoal, dark navy and dark khaki.[/caption]Another begged Nikki: “Please don’t sell these out, I LIVE in these”
A sentiment echoed by another, who said: “I’ve been gatekeeping these for two years, noo”
While another person said: “I’ve got the black ones, game changer for work”
M&S currently have a good level of stock online from size six to 24.
Five workwear essentials
By Clemmie Fieldsend
Fabulous Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend shared the five workwear essentials everyone should have.
1. WHITE SHIRT
A good white shirt is so versatile. Great for wearing on their own or layering underneath knits and transforming plain jumpers by adding cuff and collar detail, as well as wearing open over plain tops.
2. WIDE LEG TROUSERS
They’ve become a wardrobe staple over recent years as they are comfortable, flattering and will elevate your workwear. Look out for styles with pleating or darting.
3. PRACTICAL TOTE
for a day at work or on your commute you’ll need all your essentials with you, cram them all into a sleek and stylish tote bag in a neutral colour like black, brown or beige so it can be used with all of your outfits.
4. TAILORED BLAZER
Even if worn with torn jeans a tailored blazer will instantly make you look polished and smart for work. Black will be the most useful and look for silhouettes with structure.
5. SIMPLE LOAFER
Whether you like delicate or chunky, a flat and comfortable shoe is essential for everyday use and can look just as dressy as a heel.
