Man carved anti-gay slur into newly-opened LGBTQ bar before trying to burn it down: police
A man has been accused of carving a homophobic slur into a newly opened LGBTQ+ bar and then trying to set it on fire.
James Eason, 45, was charged with a hate crime, arson and vandalism, according to the news site KSBW 8.
He’s accused of carving the slur into the glass doors of The Neighbors Pub in Santa Cruz, California, on Dec. 10 before trying to set the building on fire.
