Christina Haack Cries to Tarek El Moussa About Her Final 'Blow Up' With Josh Hall Before Their Split
A few months since Christina Haack‘s unexpected split from ex-husband Josh Hall, fans are finally getting a glimpse of what happened between them.
In an exclusive clip obtained by People from her upcoming HGTV show with ex Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather El Moussa, The Flip Off, Haack confided in her ex-husband about her final fight with Hall.
In the scene, El Moussa entered her home and asked if she was okay. “No,” she said. “Josh and I officially split up.”
As a reminder, while Haack and Hall were married for a little over two years from 2022 to their July 2024 split, she and El Moussa were together for 10 years until their separation in 2016. They also share their daughter Taylor, born in 2010, and their son, Brayden, born in 2015. Haack also shares a son named Hudson with her second husband, Ant Anstead.
“We had a blow up… middle fingers in my face,” Haack continued in her story. “Things with Josh have been bad for a long time.”
In fact, the HGTV star said that her kids had started to intervene. “The kids literally asked me to leave,” she said. “They told me he’s not nice to me. Why would I stick around?”
The scene then panned to Haack crying as she reflected on her rocky relationships with Hall and Anstead in the past few years. “I feel like I’m in a tornado all the time and I just can’t get out of it,” she said.
“Everything since like 2016 has been so hard and so horrible,” she said, referring to the year she and El Moussa went their separate ways. “It’s really taken a really bad toll on me.”
“I’m really sorry for s— too,” she told her ex. “I really am. I just want you to know.”
El Moussa, who was patiently listening throughout, took accountability too. “I understand that feeling of being a little bit lost,” he said, getting emotional too. “And I acknowledge that I’m a big part, if not the entire part, of all of this.”
While it’s hard to say whether she will continue to open up about her relationship with Hall in the show, Haack hasn’t exactly shied away from going after her ex since their split. “When someone is insecure by you and doesn’t like to watch you win, that really puts a damper on everything,” she told Entertainment Tonight about her experience filming with show with Hall at first. “I feel like I was not shining as bright, to try to not make him feel emasculated. But who wants to live like that?”
Her new show, The Flip Off, premieres on Jan. 29.
