Some of the best Black Friday TV deals include this 36% discount on the 65-inch Samsung S90D OLED, an incredible price for such a high-performance display. Thanks to its infinite contrast ratio and bright colors, the S90D is the top in my guide to the best TVs. You can also find my pick for the best budget TV, the 65-inch Hisense U6N, on sale for an all-time low of $498. At that price, the U6N absolutely blows away its competitors.

The best Black Friday 98- and 100-inch TV deals
Extra-large TVs are surging in popularity thanks in part to excellent deals during big sales like Black Friday. Right now, the Hisense 100-inch U76N is down to just $1,799.99, a nearly unheard-of price for a display this big and with this level of performance. I also recommend checking out the 98-inch version of the TCL QM7, which is on sale for a whopping $2,000 off. The QM7 is one of my picks for the best smart TVs you can buy. Check out my TCL QM7 TV review for more details.
The best Black Friday 83- and 85-inch TV deals
If you're on the hunt for an 83- or 85-inch TV, I recommend checking out the gorgeous LG G4 OLED, which is on sale for $352 off. The G4 is the most impressive high-end OLED TV available at this size, with a brighter image than competing Sony and Samsung options. Visit my LG G4 TV review for more info. But if you're on a budget, check out the TCL Q65. At a deal price of $800, it's one of the most affordable 85-inch QLEDs on the market.
The best Black Friday 75- and 77-inch TV deals
Black Friday is offering some of the lowest prices of the year on top 75-inch TVs, including Samsung's stylish Frame TV, which is designed to look like a piece of art hanging on your wall. The 75-inch Frame is on sale for 40% off. That's the best deal I've seen on this size so far.
The best Black Friday 65-inch TV deals
Most TV manufacturers use 65 inches as the flagship size to showcase their top models, so it's no surprise that some of the best Black Friday TV deals are on 65-inch sets. The Samsung S90D, the top pick in my guide to the best 4K TVs, is a particularly great buy at a sale price of just under $1,400. All things considered, that price hits just the right sweet spot between value and performance for most people.
The best Black Friday 55-inch TV deals
Many top TV models are also sold in a 55-inch screen size, which is a good option for buyers who need something a bit more compact. The 55-inch Samsung S95D is $500 off. The S95D has the best anti-reflective screen I've tested, so it's ideal for people who struggle with glare in their rooms. Check out my Samsung S95D TV review for more details.
The best Black Friday 50-inch and under TV deals
TVs with smaller screen sizes are also getting excellent discounts for Black Friday, making these displays perfect budget buys. One of the cheapest TVs available is Insignia's 32-inch Fire TV, which costs under $70. This display is as basic as they come, but it still has Alexa voice control and access to plenty of streaming apps.
Black Friday TV FAQs
How much should I spend on a TV?
If you just want a basic TV for casual viewing and don't care about advanced image quality, specific smart home features, or fancy design perks, you can find solid budget options for about $500 or less. Entry-level LED TVs in smaller sizes can even go on sale for under $100.
However, if you want a TV with better-than-average picture performance, you should be prepared to spend a bit more to get a mid to high-end QLED or OLED display. These types of displays will offer much better contrast, brightness, and black-level performance over cheaper LED models. Lower-midrange 65-inch QLED TVs start at around $600, and premium options start at about $1,500. Meanwhile, midrange 65-inch OLEDs start at around $1,300, and high-end options start at around $2,000.
What size TV is best?
When deciding what TV size to buy, I recommend considering the space it's going in, how close you plan to sit to it, and your budget. Generally, bigger screen sizes are more expensive than smaller models with comparable specs. You'll also need to make sure you have a large enough TV stand or big enough wall to mount whatever size display you get. Certain sizes are also best suited for specific resolutions and distances.
For instance, HDTVs are still a decent option in sizes of around 43 inches or smaller. At such small screen sizes, it's hard to see the added detail that a higher resolution offers unless you sit extremely close to the screen. To get the most out of a 4K TV, I recommend buying a screen that's 50 inches or larger, since those sizes will better demonstrate the perks of Ultra HD resolution. Finally, 8K resolution is only worthwhile on extra-large TVs that are at least 75 inches, but even then, it's difficult to see the benefits of 8K over 4K.
Many brands use 65 inches as the premier size to showcase their top TV models, and 65 inches hits just the right sweet spot for most needs. Many affordable models are available at 65 inches, and this size can offer a big-screen experience while still being manageable enough to fit in most living rooms.

Are OLED or QLED TVs better?
OLED and QLED TVs both offer great performance, but they each have pros and cons.
OLED TVs have self-illuminating screens, meaning their pixels can dim and brighten individually to create an infinite contrast ratio. With the lights off, black levels will completely disappear into a dark room, and this is one of the most important elements of good overall image quality. On the downside, cheaper OLED TVs can struggle with brightness, which makes them less suited for rooms that let in a lot of light. OLED TVs are also technically susceptible to an issue known as burn-in (when static images left on the screen for too long get permanently stuck on the display), but the risk is very minimal under normal viewing conditions.
QLED TVs, on the other hand, are a kind of LCD display that uses an LED or Mini LED backlight to illuminate its pixels. These backlights can have multiple zones to brighten or dim separate areas, but even top QLED TVs can't match an OLED panel's pixel-level contrast control. As a result, QLED TVs can have an uneven, patchy appearance in dark scenes, with halos around bright objects or washed-out black levels that look more blue or gray. However, top QLED TVs have an edge in peak brightness over even the priciest OLED TVs, which can make them better suited for rooms with lots of windows. They also tend to be a bit more affordable (especially in larger sizes) and have no risk of burn-in.
