LaplandUK is launching a second experience next year[/caption]Currently open in Berkshire, more than 300,000 people tried to book tickets for this year’s event, which sold out when they went on sale in March in a record four hours.
The new event at Manchester will be built at Capethrone Hall.
Set across more than 173,000sqm, it will be a similar size to the original venue in 2023.
It will also run for a similar 4.5hr time as the current experience.
Tickets will likely go on sale next March, similar to this year.
While confirmed opening dates are yet to be revealed, it will run for six weeks during the Christmas period.
Mike & Alison Battle, founders of LaplandUK, said: “We’ve been so overwhelmed by the incredible response to LaplandUK and the strong connection so many people have with our event.
“It has always been our dream to bring the magic of LaplandUK to as many families as possible, so we are thrilled to announce our plans to launch a new site in Manchester.
“We look forward to welcoming more families to share in the magic of LaplandUK next year and to create more treasured Christmas memories.”
Each site takes around 50 days to build, with it then being taken down over a 30 day period.
On arrival, kids are given an ‘Elf Passport’ before travelling to the festive world.
A 90-minute show then takes place, with visits to the toy factory and Mother Christmas’ kitchen, before ending with a Father Christmas meet.
Free gifts along with ice skating, sweet shops and a post office are all included in the tickets.
The Sun’s Caroline Iggulden visited LaplandUK this year.
She raved about the family experience, saying it was something that was a Disney standard.
She said: “It is the fine details which really set this place apart.
“This includes the miniature doorways, just for ‘small folk’ to use, and even the beautifully costumes worn by all the elves.
“Elves even have a customised greeting for kids where they put their thumb up to their nose and waggle their fingers.
