STILLWATER, Okla. (KFOR) — A man who worked several months as an assistant at an oral surgery center allegedly recorded himself sexually assaulting 16 young male patients, some of them minors, while they were sedated for surgery, before sharing the footage online.
Authorities say the man allegedly also recorded himself committing "crimes against nature," and had more than 10,000 files of child sexual abuse material stored on his computers and cell phones.
News 4 obtained copies of 18 arrest affidavits filed against Cody Allen Stolfa, 36, in July and November 2024.
Much of the information contained in the affidavit is too graphic and disturbing for News 4 to share in full detail.
The affidavits say Stolfa allegedly sexually assaulted, battered, abused and/or sodomized 16 young male patients, six of them minors, while working as an assistant at Central Oklahoma Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in Stillwater in 2021.
Prosecutors tell News 4 Stolfa only worked at the clinic for three months before being terminated for poor job performance.
Payne County District Attorney, Laura Thomas, says Stolfa filmed himself while inappropriately touching himself and the patients while they were recovering from sedation post-surgery.
“It's just really gross,” Thomas said. “He's very brazen, scary guy.”
Prosecutors say Stolfa shared the videos online.
Thomas told News 4 her office first learned about this earlier this year when someone in Australia saw a video depicting Stolfa sexually assaulting a patient on the social media app, Discord.
She says the person reported the video to Australian authorities, who used facial recognition and other technologies to trace the video back to Stolfa, and matched the room seen in the video to a room in the Stillwater dental clinic where he previously worked.
Australian authorities alerted the FBI and Stillwater Police, who arrested Stolfa in July.
The Payne County District Attorney’s Office immediately charged him for the crime against the patient seen in the video.
Following his arrest, Stillwater Police obtained search warrants for Stolfa’s electronic devices, where they found evidence showing he allegedly assaulted 15 additional patients.
“And then when they arrested him on what ended up being the first charge, that's when Stillwater PD seized all his phones and computers, got a search warrant for him and started the very long process of going through it all,” Thomas said.
On one of his devices, investigators found a folder marked “naughty.”
The folder contained 115 additional videos showing Stolfa recording himself as he allegedly sexually assaulted the 15 other patients.
Of the 16 total alleged victims, six were minors.
Thomas says they are all male, ranging in age from 15 to 23 years old in 2021.
“All are now adults, and none of us knew this happened to them until they were contacted by SPD and made aware,” Thomas said.
Prosecutors say Stolfa recorded the videos while alone in the room with patients as they recovered from sedation.
“There’s supposed to be three in the room at one time, and there apparently were none,” Thomas said.
Thomas said each of the videos depicting the alleged assaults only last a few seconds.
“He'll look at the video when he's making the video,” she said. “And this all takes place in seconds because someone else could walk in the room at any minute.”
Thomas says the clinic is cooperating fully with the investigation, and say they had no idea Stolfa was allegedly doing these things.
Court documents say investigators found other disturbing things on Stolfa’s computers, including a 3.2 TB folder containing more than 10,000 files of “child sexual abuse material.”
“[Including] images from infancy to adult,” Thomas said.
Investigators seized Stolfa’s chat logs from the dating app, Grindr, and messaging apps, Snapchat and Discord.
Stolfa allegedly offered the people he chatted with access to a 2 TB online folder containing child sexual abuse material.
He also allegedly sent child sexual abuse material directly to the people he chatted with, including an explicit picture of a 16-year-old boy who Stolfa claimed was an acquaintance of his in Stillwater.
Court documents also share extremely graphic details of more homemade videos investigators found on Stolfa’s devices.
The videos allegedly show Stolfa “committing crimes against nature” on an animal multiple times.
Stolfa has been held in the Payne County jail without bond since his July 10 arrest.
At least one of his alleged victims has filed a civil lawsuit.
As of Friday, Stolfa faces the following charges:
- Sexual Battery: 10 counts
- Forcible Sodomy: 5 counts
- Child Exploitation: 6 counts
- Clandestine Recording: 4 counts
- Sodomy - Victim Under 16: 2 counts
- Lewd Acts to Child: 1 count
