9/30/2024: Foggy start, but nice afternoon ahead
The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:
Be careful on the roads this morning! It's awfully foggy out there, with reduced visibility causing issues for the Monday morning commute.
Once the fog burns off, likely by 9 or 10 am at the latest, it will end up being a nice day. With high pressure set up just to our north, expect a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the low to mid 70's.
Tonight looks mild with partly to mostly cloudy skies and temperatures only down into the low or mid 50's in most spots - roughly 10 degrees above average.
October begins tomorrow, and the first day of the new month looks like a winner with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 70's.
Wednesday looks a little more gloomy, with clouds and showers possible in the afternoon. Nice weather returns Thursday, with highs back in the 70's.
The next rain chance comes late Friday night and into Saturday morning. We then look much brighter for the remainder of the weekend, with temperatures that feel a whole lot more like October - morning lows in the 40's and afternoon highs in the 60's.
