Fonda-Fultonville schools unveil new mascot logo
FONDA, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The Fonda-Fultonville Central School District announced the Valley Hawks' new primary logo on Saturday. The logo was the top selection of two proposed logos, and students, staff, faculty, and community members voted on it on Thursday.
The district spent two years rebranding the new mascot and postponed the vote in June until the beginning of the new school year. The new primary logo received 617 of 1,005 votes and will go into effect immediately.
Superintendent Richard DeMallie said the district is thankful for the community's assistance in selecting a new mascot. "As we move forward, we will continue to embody the F-F Character Traits that make us so proud to be a part of the Fonda-Fultonville Central School District: Respect, Responsibility, Trustworthiness, Citizenship, and Perseverance," DeMallie said.
