Strictly Come Dancing fans are convinced one star is receiving special treatment[/caption] Fans of the BBC show have blasted Wynne Evans for his ‘contrived’ moments[/caption] Wynne’s bubbly adn funny character has already been shinning through on the dance floor[/caption]And now they’ve taken aim at Wynne Evans as they’re convinced he’s receiving special treatment.
Taking to a web forum, one fan suggested Beeb bosses are creating ‘contrived’ moments for the Welsh star.
They said: “I like Wynne and find him amusing and he also danced beautifully last night tbf, but giving him a contrived “moment” in each show and more attention than most in VT’s, interviews, etc, is going to get old as it smacks of favouritism. He’s not a bad dancer (& Katya is the bomb) so I wish they’d let the dancing speak for itself and not keep trying to make him happen. He was overmarked on his first week because of this when he was sloppier than many (last night was great though).”
A second said: “Starting to find Wynne quite annoying. The show constantly pushing him to the forefront is not helping and also quite surprising for someone who was apparently the last minute signing. Overmarked and over praised so far as well.”
Strictly was previously left in chaos after Wynne called out his co-star Paul Merson for getting his name wrong.
During last week’s show Strictly viewers watched as Wynne performed a Viennese Waltz with pro partner Katya Jones.
The MasterChef winner’s dance earned him a standing ovation from head judge Shirley Ballas.
Fans were previously left furious after Wynne scored higher than his co-star, Olympic gold medallist Sam Quek.
One confused viewer said: “Jamie [Borthwick], Montell and Sam not being higher than Wynne was perplexing.”
A second posted: “I know! Wynne was entertaining but his footwork was sloppy compared to Jamie, Montell and Sam!”
