Vernon Vipers Announce Signing of Defenceman Marko Stojkov
Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are thrilled to announce the signing of 2004-born defenceman, Marko Stojkov.
“We are really excited to be adding Marko to our roster,” said Colton Sparrow, Assistant Coach and Director of Player Personnel. “We have tracked him for a number of years now. He is a very gifted D-man who will bring composure defending and detail to the back end.”
Hailing from Mississauga, Ontario, Stojkov spent the past two seasons with the Flint Firebirds of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), where he recorded 32 points in 116 games. Prior to his time in the OHL, he honed his skills with Frolunda HC in Sweden, further developing his defensive acumen and versatility.
Standing at 6’0 and 190 pounds, the left-shooting Stojkov brings a combination of size, skill, and poise to the Vipers’ blue line.
“I’m very excited to be joining such a prestigious organization like the Vernon Vipers,” said Stojkov. “I can’t wait to arrive and get started.”
Please join us in welcoming Marko and his family to the Vernon Vipers organization as we look forward to an exciting season ahead.
