NYC off-duty Deputy Sheriff arrested for menacing , weapon charges: NYPD
NEW YORK (PIX11) -- An off-duty city employee was arrested Saturday morning for menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the NYPD.
Officers from the 34 precinct arrested Mackenson Vil, a 38-year-old city employee, at 3:22 a.m. According to open records, Vil is a Deputy Sheriff who has also worked as a special officer with the department since 2021.
Vil is facing the following charges:
- Criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree
- Menacing in the second-degree
It remains unclear what may have led to the arrest. Other details were not made available.
