“Tortured and struggling”: Trump bashes Rob Reiner in memorial post
President Donald Trump used a memorial post for director Rob Reiner to score points against a late political foe.
Reiner and his wife were found dead in their Los Angeles home over the weekend, the victims of an apparent homicide. In a post to Truth Social on Monday, Trump referred to Reiner as “tortured and struggling” and “once very talented.” He went on to blame Reiner’s death on the anger he caused via his long-time opposition of the president.
“A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away,” he wrote,” reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.”
Reiner’s 32-year-old son Nick was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of murder. There’s been no reports of political motivation for the killings. That didn’t stop Trump from repeatedly blaming the Reiners’ deaths on their association with Democratic Party politics.
“He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before,” Trump wrote. “May Rob and Michele rest in peace!”

“Regardless of how you felt about Rob Reiner, this is inappropriate and disrespectful discourse about a man who was just brutally murdered,” he wrote on X.
