Corrie star Andrew Lancel is declared bankrupt after actor who starred in The Bill faces five-figure debt
CORRIE and The Bill star Andrew Lancel has been declared bankrupt after failing to pay off a large tax bill.
The star, who played Frank Foster in the popular soap, failed to keep on top of his tax affairs.

HMRC were named as the petitioner in the High Court and sources have revealed the actor’s outstanding bill was “a significant five-figure sum”.
Lancel, 53, was declared broke under his real name Andrew Charles Watkinson.
He also starred as Detective Inspector Neil Manson in long-running ITV cop show the Bill for eight years.
The actor was forced to spend big money on legal fees in a trial over child abuse claims in 2013.
He was found not guilty of four counts of indecently assaulting a 15-year-old boy, but had to cover legal costs from his own pocket.
Coronation Street suffered a torrid time during this period.
Veteran Bill Roache was cleared of raping teenage girls and Michael Le Vell was acquitted of sexual offences against a teenager, all within several months of each other.
