My best friend had a strict dress code for her wedding, but I ruined her big day with my outfit choice and I’m not sorry
FROM arriving on time to not upstaging the bride, there a few unwritten rules when it comes to weddings.
But one woman has admitted that she broke one of these when she went against the colour-coded dress code at her best friend’s wedding.

In a clip shared to TikTok (@that.romanian), the wedding guest explains: “I missed the memo and wore red to one of my best friend’s wedding.
“Apparently it was on the RSVP part of the invitation and it did not stand out to me and I completely missed it.
“When I showed up, everyone was wearing neutral colour tones and matching and I just showed up in my bright red dress.”
However, rather than be angry about her bold, bright outfit choice, she recalls how her mates – including the bride – saw the funny side.
“I’m so happy that I have a group of friends where we look beyond that and we just had a good laugh,” she says.
“She called me the walking red flag of the day and I couldn’t agree more.

“Overall, it was a perfect day, perfect company, perfect location and perfect weather for a wedding.
“I don’t wanna hear it, darling.”
She captioned the post: “Who goes against a colour coded wedding? Me – unintentionally though.”
The post has since gone viral, racking up over 475k views and several comments from social media users.
“This was me on my brother’s wedding – I didn’t know! Explains why everyone kept looking at me,” wrote one.
A second asked: “Why would you wear something so bright?”
A third commented: “Old wives tale is that red symbolises that you’ve slept with the groom.”
Meanwhile, a fourth noted: “Wearing red to a wedding is a big no no all together.”
Another added: “How embarrassing!”
