JACK Fincham has broken his silence on being axed from Celebs Ex on the Beach.
The reality star admitted he was sacked from filming the series while en route to the airport – after keeping his drug-drive arrest secret from MTV bosses. He had packed his bags and was headed to the airport when he was told to turn back[/caption]
In an emotional interview with The Sun, Jack opened up about addiction battle since winning Love Island in 2018.
Alongside using class A drugs, including cocaine, Jack admits taking at least 30 diazepam pills a day to cope with his crippling anxiety.
He insists he has been clean ever since – and his conviction in October has helped change his life.
Admitting he was banned from appearing on MTV’s Celebs Ex on the Beach, Jack told us: “I literally had my bags packed and in hand, walking to the taxi to go to the airport when I got a call.
“I was told I was being stood down this time and that I couldn’t go.
“It was embarrassing. I’d just said bye to my neighbours and then suddenly I had to turn around.
“MTV said they think I’m great and they love me, but until that case is closed they can’t have me on the show.”
Jack had not informed show bosses of his latest arrest, which came fives months after he was accused of the same charge.
“They saw it in the newspapers,” Jack said.
“Of course I didn’t want to tell them. I have so much I need to pay for.
“It’s hard, man. I lost the full fee. That put me well behind.
“I’m in the process of building myself back up – which is hence why I’m back selling office supplies. Stick to what you know.”
Jack secretly spent time in rehab in 2020 after being tricked by his mum into going.
He has been arrested three times for drug-driving and in October was handed a 36-month driving ban and given 60 hours’ community service.
