Drumstick is a 4-year-old Akita Inu and Shepherd mix. Playtime is his favorite and Drumstick amuses himself with squeaky toys. He also loves a game of tug-of-war, fetch and chase. Drumstick’s enthusiasm can turn even the most stoic humans into playmates. His playful spirit is infectious, making every interaction a delightful and heartwarming experience. He believes that life is meant to be lived to the fullest. This boy is a big ol puppy at heart!! Meet him at East Bay SPCA’s Dublin Adoption Center today. The EBSPCA offers walk-in adoptions at its Oakland and Dublin campuses from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. For updated and real-time information on EBSPCA programs and offerings, visit eastbayspca.org/adoptions.

Agatha may not be a standard beauty on the outside, but she radiates beauty from her very core. She has such an ebullient personality. She loves people, belly rubs, food and especially loves toys. Her kennel always has a favorite toy or two she tries to bring with her when we come in to walk Agatha. As with some of our other seniors, she’s like a puppy in an older dog’s body. To meet this pet at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, call 510-337-8565 or visit alamedaanimalshelter.org/adopt.

Sandy’s Triplets – Dot, Sadie and Heidi – have been fostered in a quiet household where they sit on laps, get petted and watch TV. They have developed into super-sweet couch potatoes that are a great match for older adult adopters. The triplets are still just 6 months old and long-haired tabby beauties all. Contact Sandy at welllssandra@comcast.net. Community Concern for Cats now holds weekend adoption events at Pet Food Express stores in Walnut Creek and Martinez along with our regular location at 1250-H Newell Ave. in Walnut Creek. Visit communityconcernforcats.org for more information.

DS is a lovely, mellow boy with beautiful soulful eyes. He’s truly a gem. He loves a good hike and is OK hanging out on the sofa watching movies, too. He mostly ignores other dogs, is people friendly and does fine being left alone for short periods of time. Contact the staff at Milo Point Richmond for assistance from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. exceptTuesdays at 220 S. Garrard Blvd. in Richmond. Our dedicated staff is on duty every day caring for our animals and have saved more than 39,000 lives in 28 years. For more details, visit milofoundation.org/contact-us.

We call this beautiful young lady Philly. She’s only a year old and already had a litter of kittens. Philly was clearly dumped and even though she was fearful of her surroundings, was doing a great job of taking care of her 2-week-old babies. Our foster scooped them up and did a really good job of showing them life in a home with dogs, cats and kids. Calm and sweet, she’d make a great addition to a family. For more information about this or any other adoptable pets with the Contra Costa SPCA, call Pat at 925-323-0667.
