The Nuggets’ Game 3 win gave a bettor $3.1 million thanks to history by Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray
Whatever this Denver Nuggets bettor foresaw in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, I’d now like to ask them for more advice. For example: Can they pick lottery numbers for me next time I head to the corner store?
With Nikola Jokic dropping the first 30-point, 20-rebound, 10-assist performance in NBA Finals history (and Jamal Murray later joining him with a 30-point triple-double of his own), a bettor with Caesars Sportsbook cashed in on the wager of a lifetime.
After having $3.5 million riding on the Nuggets’ eventual 109-94 win, they pocketed a cool $3.1 million thanks to Denver’s steely resolve on the road.
A bettor @CaesarsSports had $3.5M riding on Game 3 tonight…

Before the game even began, I thought putting this much money on a single outcome was silly. The Nuggets always had the potential to take back home-court advantage in the series, but I don’t know that I would’ve ever felt comfortable betting over $3 million on any sports team’s success. From an initial, face-value glance — it’s just not worth it!
Yet, this bettor had such high confidence, and they were summarily rewarded very handsomely for it. Denver is a -165 favorite to also take Game 4 in Miami on Friday night.
If they’re putting as much ludicrous money on a similar outcome heading into the weekend, it might be wise to follow suit.
