Speaking exclusively to The Sun’s TV Mag, Jo said she and the rest of the cast are up for reuniting.
“We would love to, all of the Angels girls would love to and we did even approach a couple of people to ask about it. We’d love to, genuinely,” the former EastEnders star said.
She continued: “When we were first talking about it, the girls, we were all like: ‘Yeah, but what would bring these nurses back together, living together after all this time? Divorce? Cancer?’ And then the pandemic happened.
“And I was like: ‘A pandemic.’ All of these old nurses got these letters saying ‘everybody is needed, you’re being called up’.”
No Angels centred around four female nurses all living and working together in Leeds.
It starred Kaye Wragg, Louise Delamare and Sunetra Sarker.
Viewers watched as the healthcare workers experienced an understaffed hospital during the day, and their turbulent lives at night.
The show dealt with relationships, deaths, sex and incompetence.
It ran for three series before being axed by Channel 4 in 2005.
Looking back on her character, Jo, 46, said Beth was a ‘fun’ character to play.
“She didn’t care, she couldn’t care less what anyone thought of her and she was just looking after herself because no-one else was going to.
“I remember we went to shadow nurses for a day before we filmed and I felt really bad because I shadowed this brilliant young nurse and she was really conscientious and she was constantly checking on her patients and making sure no-one was left behind, all the things really Beth probably wouldn’t do.
