I’m a cleaning whizz and here’s my three tips for a fresh kitchen – old newspaper will do wonders for your cupboards
A CLEANING whizz has shared her three hacks for a flawless – and fresh smelling – kitchen.
And the best bit? You can do them with things you probably already have lying around.
Jessica May, a home and cleaning content creator, took to TikTok to reveal how she keeps her stainless steel sink sparkling and her bins smelling fresh.
She dubbed the video as “three cleaning hacks you will love”.
The first hack was to apply baby oil on a microfibre cloth to polish your stainless steel bits – like sinks, fridges and taps.
According to Jess, this hack leaves your steel “steak free and shiny”.
Her second cleaning hack was focused on stopping a pongy bin from plaguing your kitchen.
To do so, she soaks three cotton wool balls in Zoflora and drops them at the bottom of the bin.
She then pours over them with a cup of baking soda and some sheets of cardboard to soak up any “bin juice” that may leak from your bags.
Your bin bag goes on top of the cotton wool, baking soda and cardboard as normal.
Jess’ third hack was particularly unique.
To shave hours off her dusting chores, she lines tall shelves with sheets of newspaper “to collect any dust and grease that may build up”.
The helpful video has totted up almost 350k views of fellow homemakers looking for cleaning hacks.
“Using the bin hack, thanks,” one beamed.
“Ooo, these are clever,” another quipped.
However, one viewer claimed they had an even easier bin hack.
“Easier to roll a few paper towels around your hand and place at the bottom of the bin,” they penned. “And drop a couple of drops of disinfectant.
“Easy to change!”
