I got a purse at Goodwill – I made a discovery in the lining, I’ve never been so excited about something in my life
A SAVVY shopper headed to her local thrift store to look for cute, affordable clothes.
But her treasure hunt lead to a more exciting discovery than she could’ve anticipated.

The Goodwill shopper, named Abi (@abi_wash), couldn’t contain her enthusiasm when she got back to the car in the parking lot.
“Look what I found in a Goodwill,” she said breathlessly in her video review.
“Those of you who know me, you know I love Goodwill,” she began. But on this trip, she said, her best find wasn’t just a deep discount.
“It’s not even what I bought,” she told viewers. While Abi was looking at a rack of purses, one caught her eye.
“I picked one up that I was interested in and it jingled,” she said. As soon as she heard the sound, Abi began checking the pockets for coins.
“I thought, ‘Hell yeah, I’m getting some change!'” she said. Gently making fun of herself, she added, “Your girl’s broke.”
The coins weren’t in a pocket, though, so Abi kept looking.
“They were inside the purse, within the fabric lining,” she said. “I started feeling around and there were no holes.”
She pinched the fabric lining between her fingers to try and count the coins or ease them out, and that’s when she made her discovery.
“I felt something round,” Abi remembered. “I thought, ‘Oh my God, it’s a ring.'”
Then, she held her hand up to the camera and revealed her treasure: a sparkling gold ring with an enormous faux pearl.

“Y’all, I know it’s probably costume jewelry, but I’ve never been so excited about something in my life,” she said. “This was inside a purse!”
Abi also admitted to using a sneaky but effective tactic to extract the ring from the purse’s casing.
“If you think this is bad, I’m so sorry,” she said, apologizing in advance. “There was a stitch that was a little loose, so I just pulled the stitch and reached in there.”
Abi didn’t buy the purse, because she thought taking it home to disassemble it and never carry it would be wasteful.
Plus, she’d be taking the purse away from someone who might like to buy and use it.
“I wouldn’t buy a purse for $10 just to cut it open,” Abi said.
So, she escaped the thrift store with her free find, unable to believe her luck.
“Y’all. It’s gorgeous,” she said, eyes shining as she looked at the massive jewel. She even faked accepting a proposal. “I do!”
