I’m 62 and still lift heavy weights in the gym – people say I’m an ‘amazing human being’
A BODYBUILDER in her sixties showed that the gym is for everyone and you’re never too old to improve.
She wowed her fans with a side-by-side comparison of her impressive muscles then and now.
Bodybuilder and fitness coach Jo Stewart (@jostewart7) is a global champion who’s competed in the Arnold Amateur and Masters Worlds competitions.
In a video, she showed herself training in the gym at 60-years-old, lifting massive weights as her back muscles rippled.
The self-proclaimed “gym addict” flexed her arms, back, and shoulders in front of a mirrored wall.
Above her head, she displayed a posed photo of her physique at 48. In the years between the photos, her muscles only got more impressive and sculpted.
Her dedication was proof you should never abandon your goals, and her viewers took the message to heart.
One fellow gym rat called her “outstanding.”
“Kudos on your health and fitness journey, young lady,” he wrote.
Another fitness account called her “One amazing human being.”
“Why not?” asked a woman in Stewart’s age bracket. “I’m doing it at 62. I’m not built like she is, but I’m fit.”
Some called Stewart “superwoman” and others chalked her performance up to “amazing genetics.”
“You’re one in a million,” said one of Stwart’s close friends.
A few tried to rope the bodybuilder into their own personal proclivities. “Hurt me, please,” a man in the comments begged.
“I hope I look that good at 60. Keep it up!” cheered a younger fan.
One woman was around Stewart’s age and just getting started. “I’m 61 and have been working out for three years and I love every minute,” she said.
And as another 62-year-old in the comments proved, the dividends pay off. “I look better than most 35-year-olds,” the fitness fanatic wrote.
