Motorway shut near Heathrow airport after smash between car and lorry with driver left fighting for life
THE M25 has been shut near Heathrow Airport after a car and a lorry smashed into each other.
The driver of the car suffered life-threatening injuries and is now fighting for his life.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in South West London around 11.55pm.

The Met Police said: “Police and London Ambulance Service were called to the M25 at junction 14 at 23:55hrs on Monday 27 March following reports of a collision involving a HGV and a car.
“The driver of the car was taken to hospital where he remains.
“His injuries have been assessed as life threatening.
“Road closures are in place while emergency services deal.”
The road remains closed this morning as an investigation is carried out.
Commuters are backed-up for around one mile as congestion continues to build.
The Met Police and National Highways Traffic Officers are still at the scene.
London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service also attended last night.
