Emmerdale star signs new ITV deal after whopping 11 years on soap
APPEARING on our screens since she was seven years old, Daisy Campbell has been involved in plenty of dramatic storylines.
And it’s not about to end – the Emmerdale actress has signed a new deal with ITV.
The actress signed a new deal for another year[/caption]Viewers of the Yorkshire-based drama have been at the edge of their seats, waiting to see how Amelia Spencer will be coping with motherhood further down the line.
In 2022, the teen played by Daisy Campbell was revealed to be pregnant and fans tried to figure out who the father of her unborn baby was.
It was soon made clear that Amelia had spent the night with troubled teen Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) which resulted in her pregnancy.
Amelia was at the centre of some explosive drama back in October for Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary when she gave birth to a baby girl named Esther.
She’s since been trying to balance her new life as a mother with her routine as a student with help from her father Dan (Liam Fox) and boyfriend Noah Dingle (Jack Downham).
Could certain difficulties, particularly financial, push her to leave the eponymous Dales?
Viewers can rest assured – it’s very unlikely to happen any time soon as nineteen-year-old Daisy Campbell announced she’d signed a new deal with soap bosses that will keep her around for another year.
“I’d love to stay on it for as long as I can”, she told The Sun.
“I recently signed for another year and couldn’t be happier.”
Emmerdale fans have recently had to say goodbye to multiple actors after a string of exits.
These included Harriet Finch actress Katherine Dow Blyton and Fiona Wade, known for more than a decade as Priya Sharma.
More recently, actor Darcy Grey bowed out after only a year of portraying Marcus Dean, who was rumoured to be just as dangerous as his father Pierce Harris and viewers were frustrated to see him leave.
Daisy, on the other hand, was dreading the worst for her own character.
Speaking about the renewal of her contract, she added: “I never take it for granted because you never know when they might kill you off. It can happen to anyone.”

To keep him out of it all, Noah has resorted to paying Samson off with his inheritance money, no matter the cost.
Samson has always made it clear he has no intention of being involved in Esther’s life and has tried to get her taken away.
