Realme GT 3 could be launching soon with 240W fast charging, rebranded GT Neo 5?
Realme will launch the GT Neo 5 on February 5 in China with several upgrades over its predecessor. The device will feature a higher-end chipset and come with an RGB LED light on the back.
While Realme is prepping up for its release, a new leak reveals the presence of the Realme GT 3. And it appears as if, it will be a rebranded version of the Realme GT Neo 5 for the global markets.
Realme GT 3 will feature 240W fast charging support
The renowned leaker Steve has shared the box packaging of the Realme GT 3. The smartphone’s box reveals that it will feature 240W fast charging support just like the Realme GT Neo 5.
For the unversed, the GT Neo 5 will be the first phone with 240W fast charging. This makes us believe that the GT 3 could be a rebranded model of the GT Neo 5.
It isn’t new that the number ‘3’ is considered unlucky in China, which means the GT 3 could be launched out of China, i.e. in the global markets.
If the Realme GT 3 is believed to be a rebranded version, we can expect it to feature similar specs as the GT Neo 5.
Having said that, the Realme GT 3 could come with a 6.7-inch punch-hole AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. It could also feature the 2160hZ PWM dimming similar to the GT Neo 5.
The device could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The GT Neo 5 is expected to come with two battery and fast charging options – 5,000mAh + 150W and 4,600mAh + 240W.
Since the box packaging of the GT has revealed 240W charging support, it may pack a 4,600mAh cell. As for cameras, we can expect a 50MP triple camera system on the back. It may have a 16MP selfie snapper.
These are just some assumptions, the brand is yet to confirm the same. That said, let’s wait until the company officially announces the device.
