Marsch was given his marching orders on Monday following the weekend’s defeat to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
The Yorkshire outfit have gone seven Premier League games without a win and Marsch leaves with the club anchored in 17th position, above the relegation zone only on goal difference.
The American was without a top-flight victory since 5 November but was backed in the transfer window with Georginio Rutter, Maximilian Wober and Weston McKennie arriving for around £40million.
He’s subsequently shortened to 10-3 to be the next Premier League manager to be relieved of his duties before betting was suspended on Monday afternoon.
Marsch, 49, steered the club away from relegation when he replaced Marcelo Bielsa in March 2022, but he leaves having won just 11 of his 37 matches in charge.

But who will replace him?
Club hero Marcelo Bielsa WAS the frontrunner at 4-1 to return after being axed in February 2022 but he’s drifted a fraction to 5-1 over the past few hours.
Bielsa, 67, guided Leeds back to the top of English football after a 16-year absence and finished ninth last season.
The Argentine is still high in the betting market, but now trails favourite Carlos Corberan.
Corberan enjoyed a hugely successful spell with Huddersfield, who made the Championship playoffs with a third-placed finish last season.
He’s now in charge at the Hawthorns, where he’s quickly performed a miraculous turnaround by winning 11 of his first 16 matches in charge.
Ralph Hasenhuttl and Mauricio Pochettino are locked together at 6-1, ahead of Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou at 15-2.
Betfair Spokesperson, Sam Rosbottom said: “It’s been a busy Monday for Betfair’s manager sack race market, while Southampton’s Nathan Jones was the odds-on favourite to go next, it looks as though Leeds United have swiftly nipped in ahead of them to hand their manager, Jesse Marsch his P45.
“Looking at who could be next in the dugout at Elland Road, punters have been heavily backing West Brom manager Carlos Corberan, and we’ve seen a flurry of bets for the Spaniard, who is now the 3/1 favourite, having been as big as 20/1 this morning.
“A return for Leeds’ former boss, Marcelo Bielsa could also be possible, with the Argentinian second favourite in the market at 5/1, while Ralph Hasenhuttl and Mauricio Pochettino are both 6/1.”
