David Hawcock showed the business tycoons his pop up chess set and revealed other paper games are in the pipeline.
The idea caught the eye of the dragons as Sara Davies said it was “really impressive”, while Peter said: “I’m genuinely blown away.”
Peter was the first to make an offer before Deborah followed suit.
It wasn’t long before David was left delighted as four out of the five dragons all wanted to invest – with just Steven Bartlett left to share his thoughts.
Giving the entrepreneur advice, Steven said: “I’m going to say that I’m out, but I will say, which will annoy some of my fellow Dragons, I don’t think you should be giving away your profession, I think you have enough in that box as a standalone proposition.”
Peter quickly quipped that he wasn’t surprised the tycoon was out and that he “couldn’t have done anything with this business”.
But it was Steven’s next comment that left Deborah seething, as he said: “I think Sara’s offers great, she’s the most qualified.”
Meaden, 63, snapped: “She’s not the most qualified Steven.”
Despite Steven’s endorsement, David ultimately negotiated a join offer between Peter and Touker.
Dragons’ Den airs Thursday nights from 8pm on BBC One.
