He’s ‘racist’ to gingers and she’s pretending to be common – what public really think of Harry & Meghan’s Netflix show
IT’S only three episodes in and the Netflix show Harry & Meghan has already got the nation talking.
And for the most part . . . we aren’t impressed. So to get a glimpse of Sun readers’ opinions, we asked four families to sit on their sofas and watch the shows then give their unfiltered opinion.
We asked Sun readers what they thought of Harry and Meghan’s Netflix doc[/caption]From outrage on behalf of the late Queen Elizabeth to shining a light on interracial relationships, our readers don’t hold back.

‘PORTRAYING UK AS BIGOTS’
SINGLE mum Charmaine MacFarlane, 39, from Arbroath, watched with son Beau, 14.
She says the privileged couple are well matched, but laughs at their lack of self-awareness.
Charmaine said: “After two dates, Harry invited Meghan to camp in the bush in Botswana.
“That would win anyone over, wouldn’t it? It’s not like she’s been asked to go down her local Maccie D’s.”
And she added: “They’re making an issue out of racism where maybe there isn’t one.
“They portray the UK as racist and that’s why they got negativity here.”
‘WEAPONISING ARMY ROLE’
SINGLE dad Josh Waters, 30, from Barry, South Wales, served in the Royal Navy Logistics and was shocked that Harry, who did two tours of Afghanistan with the Army, questioned the military service of other royals.
Josh said: “Harry is trying to weaponise his military service to get street cred. He is really so bitter.
“Harry is equating active duty with credibility.
“I respect that he saw active duty but I suspect his interaction with normal men and women would have been very carefully planned and monitored.”
‘SO GLAD THE QUEEN CAN’T SEE ALL THIS’
STAUNCH monarchist Lyn Booker, 63, from Broadstairs, Kent, watched with her husband Mervyn, 63, and daughter Charlotte, 32 – and they weren’t impressed.
Lyn said: “The Queen would have been very stoic watching this but deeply hurt. I am so glad she isn’t alive to see it.
“I don’t approve of the timing and I think Harry should know better.”
Retired chef Mervyn said: “When Meghan said she didn’t know how to do the royal wave I was appalled.
“She’s an actress, and it’s not like performing Shakespeare.
“She knows exactly what she is doing and saying – trying to appear common, and she’s not.”
He added: “Harry and Meghan showing off their multimillion-pound home made me realise they will never know what it’s like to be in Aldi counting pennies to buy food like most of us.”
‘WE’VE EXPERIENCED RACISM LIKE THEM’
GEMMA and Stephen Keough, both 35, from Chadderton, Manchester, relate to Meghan and Harry as an interracial couple.
And seeing their side of events has made them like the Sussexes more.
Mum-of-three Gemma said: “I have experienced first hand the trolling and racism she has.
“My children suffer a similar level of abuse and I understand exactly why they left the Royal Family now.
“Interracial couples like them, and Stephen and me, experience life differently, and having the Sussexes share their version of events is important.”
Stephen said: “Unless you went through what they did, you shouldn’t criticise. It takes guts to do a series like this.”
