'Parks & Rec' Actress Helen Slayton-Hughes Dies at Age 92
Helen Slayton-Hughes has sadly passed away at the age of 92.
The actress – best known for playing Ethel Beavers on Parks & Recreation – died on Wednesday night (December 7), her family announced on Facebook the following day.

To the friends and fans of our beloved Helen, Helen passed away last night,” Helen‘s family wrote. “Her pain has ended but her fierce spirit lives on. Thank you for the love and support of her and her work. Rest sweet one.…”
Along with the announcement, her family shared a video of some of Helen‘s quotes and most memorable moments in character.
“To our beloved Helen…you always made us laugh,” text across the screen read. “Thank you for the love and laughter. You inspired us all by living your dream until the end. Rest now, our sweet Helen. We know the laughter will continue wherever you are.”
Over the years, Helen has also appeared on That’s So Raven, Fresh Off the Boat, New Girl, and Parenthood.
