2023 Rolex 24 Hours Entry List Due
The entry list for the 2023 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona will be released in the coming days after IMSA completed their selection process today.
The entry, set to be at the maximum-permitted 61 cars, was heavily over-subscribed, IMSA President John Doonan explaining to DSC that priority had been given to full-season IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship entrants Michelin Endurance Cup entrants and prior entrants of the Floridian classic.
Something over 70 full entry requests were understood to have been received with additional expressions of interest significantly in excess of that total.
The 2023 race will see the debut of the new GTP class, set to account for nine of the 61 slots, and will also feature the returning LMP2, LMP3, GTD Pro and GTD classes, all of which are believed to feature significant entry levels.
IMSA will, it is understood, name reserve entries for the race, with some rejected entries for Daytona, understood to have requested entries for races later in the season.
