Singapore get U-12 Softball World Cup opening game win against India

<p>Singapore opened the II WBSC U-12 Softball World Cup with a
12-5 victory over India on Wednesday at Jin-Long Field.</p>

<p>Nine different players on the Singaporean side scored runs,
led by Edwin See, Felicia Tan and Wang Yanran. See led five other Singapore batters
with two hits out of the seven they made in the game, while India made only
three hits in five innings.</p>

the first batter, stole the second and third bases, and proceeded to reach home
plate on a passed ball.</p>

<p>The Southeast Asian side then logged a huge eight-run second
inning against India. Yuujin Yamazaki earned a walk and several wild pitches
from India’s Samhitha Kyadari allowed him to move into scoring position for
Singapore’s second run, towin other runners Keona Lai, Felicia Tan and Wang
Yanran to complete their runs and extend the lead to 5-0.</p>

<p>See once again hit a single that sparked another strong
offensive run for Singapore, leading to two more runs from himself and Ann Li.
Shannon Ong scored next off Jayden Wong’s single, and Wong off Ivy Lim’s triple
to widen the gap at 9-0. India finally found a way to stop the Singaporean run
as they got two outs on Sim and Yamazaki.</p>

<p>India finally got runs on the scoreboard at the bottom of

<p>In the fourth inning, Singapore added a single run, while
India kept fighting and managed to finish two runs. However, Singapore had a
final say with two final runs scored to claim victory at 12-5.</p>
