Director of football thinks Spurs 25-year-old could play for PSG or Bayern ‘tomorrow’
PSV Eindhoven director of football Marcel Brands has sung the praises of Richarlison, claiming that the striker could play for Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich tomorrow.
Brands was responsible for bringing the Brazilian to Everton during his time heading up the football operations at Goodison Park when he paid Watford around £40 million back in 2018 (Sky Sports).
Brands departed Merseyside in December of last year and since headed back to his native Holland to take up the position at the Philips Stadium.
The 60-year-old believes that Richarlison has all the attributes to be a top striker and also highlighted his work rate to be a complete team player.
Richarlison arrived in north London this summer and has two goals to his name from fifteen matches, with both coming in a Champions League fixture against Marseille (transfermarkt).
Brand told NOS: “He has everything to be a top striker.
“He has length, speed, he is agile, can play in all positions in attack and is technically good. He can head exceptionally well, has tremendous jumping power and excellent timing in the air.
“He is also someone who works very hard for the team and still gets his return.
“Every goal he celebrates like it’s the winning one in the World Cup final, you see that at Tottenham too. That’s why he plays matches, to score goals. People often forget, but he works really hard. He is everything you want in a striker.
“He has become a man as a young player. He was already physically strong but has become much stronger and his will to score has developed even further.
“He could be playing at Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich as early as tomorrow.”

It is easy to see why Tottenham decided to bring in Richarlison this summer with his work rate clearly something which Antonio Conte and the backroom staff would appreciate, given his tendency to track back and help out with defensive duties. He is yet to score in the Premier League for Spurs, which is hopefully something he can put right after the World Cup.
