Prince William & Kate Middleton Arrive In Boston Ahead of Earthshot Prize Ceremony 2022
Prince William and Kate Middleton make a stylish pair while departing their plane at Logan International Airport on Wednesday (November 30) in in Boston, Mass.
The Prince and Princess of Wales‘s trip will last for three days, and the pair will learn about the environmental challenges Boston faces as well as meeting those who are combating the effects of climate change in the area.
Upon their arrival, William made a reference to the late Queen Elizabeth II and her legacy.
“On this, our first overseas visit since the death of my grandmother, I would like to thank the people of Massachusetts and particularly of Boston for their many tributes paid to the late Queen. She remembered her 1976 bicentennial visit with great fondness,” he shared
William continued, “My grandmother was one of life’s optimists. And so am I. That is why last year we launched the Earthshot Prize with the ambition to create a truly global platform to inspire hope and urgent optimism as we look to save the future of our planet.”
Later on in the evening, Kate switched up her look into a green tartan suit for a special tree lighting ceremony with Boston Mayor, Michelle Wu.
Earlier today, William made a personal statement about the racist comments made by his one of his godmothers.
